Blockchain assets exchange platform, Gate.io has launched a charity program “Love Travels, Love Nurtures”, to address education needs of the student community in remote areas across Asia. The program will use funds from the GT Safety and Law Fund, which holds GTs worth $18.5 million, over 200 schools across Asia will benefit from this initiative.
The program will set aside thousands of GTs (GateChain Token) from its GT Safety and Law Fund to donate clothes and other essential education supplies to over 200 schools in remote areas across Asia in the next one year. As a part of the program, Gate.io will also support similar initiatives across the region to help as many students as possible.
“In the cryptocurrency space, people come together to create and deliver value. Being a part of the ecosystem, Gate.io is always excited to look for ways to spread this idea within the community and beyond,” Marie Tatibouet, CMO at Gate.io said in a statement.

The company has already launched its first project of “Love travels, Love nurtures” program in Daliang Mountains, Sichuan where Gate.io donated over 5,000 GTs to one of the primary schools. These GTs were used to distribute clothes, computers, books and other essential items to the students.
