CEO and Founder of Apple personally owns crypto. The statement was revealed in a recorded interview for The New York Times' DealBook conference. Cook views crypto as "reasonable to own" within a "diversified portfolio."
His investment in crypto is strictly with his own money, Cook added, saying that Apple hasn't purchased cryptocurrency and he doesn't believe shareholders are interested in the company doing so.
“I’m not giving anyone investment advice by the way,” Cook cautioned.
It's not clear how much cryptocurrency Cook owns and how much his investment is divided into different coins. Cook's net worth as of Tuesday was $1.4 billion, according to a Forbes estimate.
