Dubai-built Crypto Attention applies AI to aggregate crypto news, score media attention on a 0–100 scale, and classify article tone, targeting traders, analysts, and developers globally.
A crypto intelligence platform developed in the UAE is seeking to turn the sector's continuous flow of news into structured data that traders, analysts and artificial intelligence systems can use.
UAE-born Crypto Attention applies AI to organise crypto news coverage, group reports about the same development and measure how much attention individual stories receive across media outlets. It also analyses the tone of reporting, giving users a way to follow the narratives gaining visibility across the digital-asset industry.
While developed in the UAE, the platform is designed for an international audience. Its approach reflects a growing area of activity at the intersection of crypto and AI: building tools that make large volumes of information easier for both people and machines to process.
Crypto Attention was developed in Dubai, placing the project within a UAE ecosystem that has been working to attract digital-asset businesses and develop artificial intelligence capabilities.
Dubai established the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in 2022 to oversee virtual-asset activities in the emirate. The UAE has also made artificial intelligence a national priority through its National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031.
The platform's intended audience extends beyond the UAE. Crypto news moves across markets and time zones, and traders, analysts, researchers and blockchain businesses face a similar challenge: keeping track of developments across a fragmented media landscape.
Crypto Attention seeks to serve that international audience through a centralised view of crypto news coverage. Its stated direction also includes expanding the range of publications and markets represented in its dataset.
Crypto Attention collects information from RSS feeds operated by crypto news websites, news agencies, newsrooms and project blogs. According to its published methodology, the platform retains article headlines, links and publication dates rather than republishing the original articles. Its current coverage is primarily in English.
The system then groups articles covering the same development into individual stories and organizes them across topic areas, allowing users to follow a news event without having to navigate every separate headline.
Each story receives an attention score from 0 to 100. The score is based on three main factors:
Reach: The volume of coverage, with greater weight given to more recent articles.
Spread: The number of different sources reporting the story.
Speed: How coverage during the latest six hours compares with activity over the preceding 18 hours.

The score is designed to indicate the level of media attention a story is receiving. It should not be interpreted as a measure of price impact, trading activity or the likelihood of a market move.
The platform also uses a language model to classify the tone of articles as positive, neutral or negative. These classifications feed into a separate tone index. Neutral coverage is excluded from the index calculation, which compares positive and negative reporting.
This distinction is important: the tone index reflects how news articles frame developments, not the sentiment of investors or the direction of the crypto market. The platform also provides a ranking of media outlets based on their coverage tone; this is not a ranking of their accuracy or reliability.
Beyond its news dashboard, Crypto Attention's broader proposition is to make organized crypto-news data useful to both people and AI-powered tools.
The platform uses language models to analyze article tone, identify the countries associated with stories and generate short summaries based on headlines. This turns information collected from different publishers into structured data that can be searched and compared.
Crypto Attention also lists historical data and API access among the features available through its paid offering, alongside CSV access. These capabilities can support analysts and developers who want to work with news coverage data beyond the platform's live dashboard.
The company has also outlined a wider role for AI agents in accessing structured information. However, the availability and commercial status of individual integrations should be distinguished from features that are already accessible to users. Autonomous-agent access and payment-per-request functionality, in particular, have been described as being in testing rather than as a fully established service.
The longer-term proposition is that AI tools could use structured news data to answer questions about emerging crypto narratives without having to collect and organize headlines independently.

For traders and investors, a ranked view of news coverage can help identify which developments are receiving attention across the sector. Users can examine the sources covering a story and compare its attention score with other developments.
For analysts and researchers, historical data can provide a way to examine how media coverage changes over time. The platform's fixed scoring scale is intended to support comparisons across different periods, while its tone data offers another way to study how individual developments are being reported.
Blockchain businesses and developers may also find structured news data useful when monitoring coverage of specific sectors, projects or regulatory developments. Publishers, meanwhile, retain the original article as the destination for readers: Crypto Attention displays headlines and links rather than republishing full articles.
The data nevertheless has limits. A story attracting extensive media coverage is not necessarily the development with the greatest financial impact, and positive or negative reporting does not establish how investors are positioned. The platform provides a way to examine media attention and tone, rather than investment recommendations or market forecasts.
The last 24 hours of coverage are available to explore on the platform, while paid plans provide access to additional data and tools.
Crypto Attention reflects an area of development at the intersection of digital assets and artificial intelligence: turning fragmented information into structured datasets that can be used by both human readers and software.
Its Dubai base gives the project a connection to the UAE's expanding digital-asset and AI ecosystem, while the nature of its product gives it a potential audience across international crypto markets.
The platform's next challenge will be to expand its coverage, demonstrate the value of its scoring methodology and establish how developers and AI systems use its data in practice. The development of autonomous-agent access could become part of that proposition, although its wider adoption remains to be demonstrated.
For now, Crypto Attention offers a way to follow the crypto news cycle through two distinct measures: the attention stories receive from media outlets and the tone in which those stories are reported.
