Anghami launched NFTs for popular artists

The leading music streaming platform in MENA, Anghami launched NFTs at the end of 2021. Anghami launched an NFT edition to ignite special experiences. As part of its 2021 in Music campaign, Anghami is offering the top fans of the most popular artists in MENA the reward of NFTs. The digital art asset will illustrate the fans’ favorite artist as uniquely tailored by the Lebanese illustrator Yasmina Keyrouz .

Today, Anghami is experimenting with adding blockchain technology and NFTs into its platform, as well as venturing into Web3 as a home-grown Arab company, utilizing digital innovation into the music industry to enhance the fan to artist connection.

UNLOCK first noted of Anghami's plans for NFTs and Blockchain when Anghami's Founder and CEO mentioned this on his linkeIn profile. Anghami, Elie Habib, showed a screen shot of Anghami, the first official music streaming platform and digital distribution company in the Arab world, app that linked to crypto wallet MetaMask and crypto Wallet Rainbow. Shortly afterwards Anghami posted a job for digital assets and crypto lead.
