Telegram has released a test client for Telegram Open Network (TON). Readme file states the released TON client is a “preliminary version” of the product. Telegram is not releasing the full product or its most current version of the code. Instead, "it is a simplified stable version, containing only those files that are necessary for compiling the Lite Client," readme says.
With the released test client, users can also create simple wallet smart contracts in the TON. In February, the company announced the network is already 90% complete. Recently, it confirmed it is planning TON’s launch for the third quarter, per investor note.
