OKX UAE has launched access to more than 80 tokenized U.S. stocks on its VARA-regulated Dubai platform from October 12, offering eligible users 24/7 price exposure, fractional positions, and AED funding through a single account.
OKX UAE has launched access to more than 80 tokenized U.S. stocks for eligible users, expanding the real-world asset offering of its Dubai-regulated platform into exposure to global equity markets.
Available from October 12, the products give users round-the-clock price exposure to leading U.S. companies, including technology and artificial intelligence businesses, through the same account they use for digital assets. The launch combines fractional positions and eligible dividend economics with local AED funding.
The development brings equity-linked products into OKX’s UAE operation. OKX Middle East Fintech FZE holds an active license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), covering exchange, broker-dealer, management and investment, and lending and borrowing services.
OKX describes the launch as an expansion of its real-world asset, or RWA, offering. That framing helps explain what users are accessing: a tokenized product linked to the economic performance of a traditional financial asset.
The release specifies 1:1 price exposure to leading companies and the automatic economic benefit of eligible dividends. Users can build fractional positions without purchasing the equivalent of a full share and manage those positions alongside crypto through one platform.
The distinction between exposure and ownership matters. OKX’s published Unified Tokenized Stock terms describe positions as contractual entitlements against the applicable OKX entity, supported by third-party tokenized financial instruments. They do not establish direct ownership of the underlying equity. OKX acts as distributor and trading venue, while third-party issuers provide the underlying onchain tokens.
Dubai’s regulatory framework already recognizes the relationship between virtual assets and traditional financial instruments. VARA’s guidance explicitly includes equities, bonds and funds within its definition of RWAs, and describes asset-referenced virtual assets that can provide ownership rights or value linked to an underlying asset. The rights attached to a token depend on its structure.
The local funding arrangement is a practical part of the launch. According to OKX, UAE users can connect their accounts to UAE bank accounts and deposit or withdraw AED near instantly, with zero fees on those deposits and withdrawals.
That gives users a local banking entry point to a platform offering both crypto and tokenized U.S. stock exposure.
Trading is available 24 hours a day, including weekends. This extends access to the tokenized instruments beyond the underlying U.S. equity markets’ operating hours; those markets retain their own trading schedules.
Availability remains subject to user eligibility. OKX says specific assets, supported networks and onchain transfers may vary.
Rifad Mahasneh, CEO of OKX MENA & CIS, positioned the launch within the UAE’s broader development as a digital finance center.
“The UAE has built one of the world’s most forward-looking environments for digital assets,” he said.
Mahasneh identified real-world assets as a significant part of the next phase of onchain finance, pointing to continuous trading and more flexible access to global markets.
“Combined with local AED funding and crypto in the same app, this is what we mean by One App. Every Market.”
The launch gives a local product dimension to the broader direction discussed in Unlock Blockchain’s recent coverage of OKX’s strategic investment and Star Xu’s financial-platform vision. That investment brought Circle, Ripple, Qube Research & Technologies and SC Ventures into an extension of the round that began with Intercontinental Exchange, at a $25 billion pre-money valuation.
In his statement to Unlock, Xu described traditional finance and crypto becoming “one financial system.” The UAE offering provides a practical example of financial convergence: familiar investment exposure becomes accessible through infrastructure and an account previously associated primarily with digital assets.
The UAE launch also follows OKX–ICE’s filing for a proposed tokenized U.S. stock-trading venue, which Unlock covered last week.
The two initiatives have different structures and regulatory contexts. The proposed U.S. venue sets out a model involving tokenized stock entitlements with equivalent shareholder rights. The UAE release describes price exposure and dividend economics through OKX’s RWA offering.
For UAE users, the expansion brings a broader set of investment exposures into an existing digital-asset account, with local bank funding and access beyond conventional stock-market hours. For OKX’s Dubai operation, it adds a new category of RWA products to the platform’s local offering.
