Oneday Productions' The Future is Now Film (TFIN) is the first NFT documentary film series to examine Bitcoin's global disruption over the last five years. TFIN is accelerating blockchain adoption through movies and narrative, public relations, and the TFIN DAO ( Decentralized Autonomous Organization) ecosystem's consultancy arm.
In the Dubai episode "Transforming The Future," the host of the documentary series, Los Angeles filmmaker turned decentralized futurist Miguel Francis-Santiago, takes the audience on a journey through AIBC Summit UAE 2021, one of the largest gatherings in the blockchain community hosted by Eman Pulis & SiGMA Group.
The episode highlights that under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai has established itself as the Mecca of innovation, with a slew of projects led by Dubai Blockchain Center and its CEO, Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, aiming to be a haven for creatives.
The crew is currently in Dubai, where they have completed filming for WOW Summit "The World of Web3" and AIBC Summit 2022 "Innovators of the Future," as well as developing the entire feature for Netflix and other digital distributors.
So far, 19 episodes have been released in over 15 countries as part of The Future is Now Film's exploration of the complex future.
The AIBC Summit's perspective covers programs and efforts that allow for the growth of technologies that will help cities and communities become more regenerative and genuinely decentralized in the future. Tim Draper, Tone Vays, and Brock Pierce, the Bitcoin Foundation's 2020 presidential candidate, are among the key blockchain thought leaders featured in the episode.
The TFIN team is now working on additional episodes with the help of the NFT-vehicle, with the objective of global adoption using an "infotainment" approach. According to Miguel Francis-Santiago, the show's creator and founder, the new technique of funding and decentralizing cinematography is expected to reach new heights and be featured on platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu.
The NFT scene in the GCC has been on the rise, with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), Issuing NFT (non-fungible token), and the Dubai Police being the first in the world to issue NFTs and offer them to the public for free.
