As Day 1 of Proof of Talk 2025 came to a close, the Web3 summit delivered a powerful slate of announcements that signal rapid innovation across gaming, finance, identity, and self-custody. From blockchain-powered entertainment to digital human rights and institutional investment in crypto, here are the standout developments unveiled during the event:
Kicking off the day's announcements, Somnia, the blockchain platform built for gaming and entertainment, revealed the integration of Sparkball, a 4v4 sports brawler developed by Opti Games. Backed by a $2M raise in 2024, Sparkball now becomes a flagship title on the Somnia network, bringing enhanced performance and blockchain features to players. Developed by alumni from Riot, Blizzard, and EA, Sparkball offers a dynamic blend of tactical gameplay and high-energy sports action—drawing comparisons to League of Legends, Rocket League, and FIFA. The move strengthens Somnia’s mission to support both native Web3 games and those transitioning from Web2.
In a groundbreaking financial milestone, 6 Monks (6M), Luxembourg’s first licensed crypto-focused Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM), introduced the 6M Dynamic Crypto 50—a sub-fund within its Reserved Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF). The fund is designed to give institutional investors structured, compliant access to digital assets. Built under the regulated umbrella of "6 Monks Alternative Strategies," this RAIF represents a first-of-its-kind initiative offering white-label crypto investment exposure for professional capital allocators in Europe and beyond.
Amid growing concerns around surveillance and digital exploitation, Holonym and Human.Tech made a powerful joint appearance at the summit. Their decentralized identity platform has now issued over 35 million credentials, onboarded 2 million+ users, and distributed $430 million in capital—all while protecting user privacy. Human.Tech is positioning itself as a values-driven alternative to identity models like Worldcoin. Backed by Human.Tech and aligned with Proof of Talk’s mission, Holonym's appearance emphasized a call for ethical frameworks that defend human dignity in the digital era.
Rounding out the day, Trust Wallet, the world’s largest self-custodial crypto wallet, announced it is developing support for Real-World Assets (RWAs). If successfully launched, this would mark the first time a major self-custody wallet enables users to hold and interact with RWAs directly—without giving up control. The RWA feature aligns with Trust Wallet’s broader ambition to become a Web3 neo bank, merging DeFi tools, tokenized assets, and compliance-aware systems in a unified, globally accessible app.
These announcements set a strong tone for the remainder of Proof of Talk 2025, highlighting the summit’s role as a global launchpad for meaningful progress across the decentralized ecosystem.
