Olivier Ohnheiser, CEO of Green Data City, is a trailblazer in Oman’s crypto and mining industry, pioneering sustainable initiatives.

Under his leadership, Green Data City has secured the first license for sustainable crypto-mining operations, attracting major players to Oman. The Phase 1 capacity of 200MW in Salalah hosts seven mining companies, including leading manufacturers.

Olivier’s vision extends to developing DeFi applications, integrating renewable energy with natural cooling equipment, and the creation of a crypto-hub in the tourist-friendly South of Oman. The latter, with temperatures 15 degrees cooler than the region, aims to become a sustainable hyperscale data ecosystem.

Through strategic partnerships with Phoenix Group, Canaan Creative, and Alps Blockchain SpA, Olivier is not only reshaping the crypto-mining landscape but also contributing to Oman’s technological advancement and economic diversification.
