On March 10th 2020 the UAE based Canadian Business Council in Abu Dhabi is holding the first information session on Blockchain and Crypto Asset Law.
The workshop is being held in collaboration with GoodWins Law Corporation. Topics to be discussed include Tokenization of assets in the UAE and how the UAE can grow at par with other countries, as well as a brief understanding of how blockchain and smart contracts work.
The session will also include a comparison of UAE with other MENA countries, as well as Malta and HongKong and the laws governing crypto businesses in the UAE, with emphasis on ADGM, DIFC, and the Securities and Commodities Authority, as well as information on leading crypto businesses in the UAE.
Mr. Shayan Dasgupta, legal Consultant at GoodWins Law Corporation will be heading the session. Mr. Dasgupta heads the AI, Blockchain and Fintech division at GoodWins Law.
