RTA Dubai looking into innovative blockchain solutions
The Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai is seriously looking into how the Blockchain technology can be utilized to better implement their strategy. H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Director of RTA was present during discussions at RTA innovation lab. During the discussion attendees were introduced to the concept of Blockchain, and how it could be linked to RTA’s projects and services. The lab focused on four key aspects, with respect to people happiness, management of digital governance, safe and smooth mobility and transport sustainability. As H.E commented, “About 80 ideas and initiatives have been discussed and will be assessed in order to select the most viable ones. A business plan has also been developed to undertake these ideas in collaboration with RTA sectors and agencies.”
