UAE Presence Confirms Top Blockchain Firm’s Growth, Commitment to Region
The Bitfury Group has expanded its global operations into the U.A.E., opening a Dubai office in the Dubai Design District that underscores their commitment to building blockchain-based solutions for governments, companies and institutions across the region.
Bitfury’s expansion also reflects growing interest in blockchain technology among governments, businesses and institutions across the U.A.E. As they work to improve the services and systems they provide to people, they are increasingly focused on blockchain to deliver secure, trusted solutions.
“The U.A.E. is an extraordinarily innovative place and a crucial area of growth for blockchain technology,” said Valery Vavilov, CEO of Bitfury, the world’s leading full-service blockchain technology company. “We look forward to building new customer relationships and partnerships and designing the products they need to make their enterprises run more securely and efficiently.”

George Kikvadze, executive vice chairman of Bitfury, said the new office opening will advance Bitfury’s commitment to developing blockchain solutions globally.
“Expanding into the MENA region is the natural next step in Bitfury’s mission to bolster blockchain growth and improve systems for governments and business around the world,” said Kikvadze. “The U.A.E is at the heart of this growth, and we are excited to begin our work in such a dynamic country.”
Nicola Mariani will manage the Dubai office and serve as Bitfury’s new Chief Legal Officer. For the past 15 years, Nicola has handled complex local and multi-jurisdictional transactions globally. Previously, he worked as a partner in a leading global law firm.
“Blockchain technology is fundamentally changing many aspects of our society and may be the most important invention since the internet,” Mariani said. “I look forward to working with the Bitfury team to bring state-of-the-art Bitcoin Blockchain products to new customers across the U.A.E. and the region.”
