Binance Bahrain has renewed its ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications, reinforcing the company’s continued focus on information security and data privacy across its regulated digital asset operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The certifications were renewed following assessments conducted by A-LIGN, a global cybersecurity and compliance organization trusted by thousands of companies worldwide to help manage digital security and compliance risks.
The renewal highlights Binance Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to maintain internationally recognized standards for information security management and privacy protection as the digital asset industry continues to mature, and regulatory expectations across the digital asset sector continue to evolve.
ISO/IEC 27001 is widely recognized as one of the leading international standards for information security management systems. Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the framework focuses on how organizations identify, manage, and reduce information security risks.
Meanwhile, ISO/IEC 27701 extends those standards into privacy information management, providing additional requirements related to the handling and protection of personal data.
A-LIGN is accredited to provide ISO/IEC 27001 certifications through both the American National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), further strengthening the international recognition of the certification process.
Abdulla Abu Seif, Chief Information Security Officer at Binance Bahrain, said the renewed certifications reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to protecting user data and maintaining high standards of security and privacy across the region.
According to Aboosif, trust remains one of the most critical elements in the evolving digital asset ecosystem, particularly as the sector continues to expand globally under more advanced regulatory frameworks.
He added that the certifications reinforce the company’s responsibilities toward users, regulators, and partners while supporting broader efforts to build a more secure and transparent financial ecosystem in Bahrain and beyond.
The renewal comes at a time when cybersecurity, compliance, and operational resilience are becoming increasingly important across the digital asset industry. As regulators worldwide continue introducing stricter oversight for crypto platforms and service providers, exchanges are facing growing pressure to demonstrate stronger governance and security practices.
Steve Simmons, Chief Operating Officer at A-LIGN, described the ISO/IEC 27001 certification as a globally recognized benchmark for trust and security, noting the importance of effective auditing and high-quality compliance reporting in rapidly evolving industries such as digital assets.
The renewed certifications also serve as an assurance that Binance Bahrain’s information security and privacy management systems are being actively implemented, monitored, and maintained across its operations, reflecting a broader industry shift toward institutional-grade standards in crypto infrastructure.
