FalconX, an institutional digital asset prime broker, has announced a strategic partnership with Standard Chartered. In the initial phase of this collaboration, Standard Chartered will offer FalconX a full range of global banking services, bolstering FalconX’s capabilities for institutional clients. The partnership is set to expand further, with additional offerings and joint opportunities on the horizon.
As part of the agreement, FalconX will integrate Standard Chartered’s global banking infrastructure and access to a wide array of currency pairs. This integration aims to boost the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of cross-border settlements for FalconX’s institutional clients. The move is part of FalconX’s broader mission to connect traditional finance with digital assets using enterprise-grade solutions.
Matt Long, General Manager for APAC & Middle East at FalconX, said:
“We are pleased to partner with Standard Chartered, one of the most forward-thinking global banks in digital asset adoption. At FalconX, we support trading and financing for some of the world's largest institutions in digital asset markets, and this relationship strengthens our ability to deliver robust banking and FX solutions to clients who rely on us to operate in crypto markets.”
As FalconX expands its global reach, the partnership is expected to grow to include products and services tailored to institutional players — such as asset managers, hedge funds, token issuers, and payment platforms.
Luke Boland, Head of Fintech for ASEAN, South Asia & GCNA at Standard Chartered, commented:
“Our collaboration with FalconX underscores our commitment to advancing the digital asset ecosystem. As institutional demand for digital assets continues to grow, we're proud to provide the banking infrastructure that enables firms like FalconX to deliver world-class trading and financing solutions to institutional clients.”
Prime brokers like FalconX play a crucial role in institutional markets by offering trading, financing, and custody services. By enhancing its infrastructure through partnerships like this, FalconX continues to raise the bar to meet the standards of traditional financial institutions.
Standard Chartered has already established a strong presence in the digital asset space as the majority shareholder of Zodia Custody and its trading platform, Zodia Markets—further demonstrating the bank’s long-term commitment to the crypto ecosystem.
