Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on April 21st the top 10 candidates shortlisted for the 4th series of Dubai Smartpreneur Competition which is jointly organized with Smart Dubai. The 10 finalists will compete in the final round later this month.
The top three winners of the competition will be named during the closing ceremony of the Enterprise Agility Forum 2019 on April 30th, 2019. The winners will receive cash prizes and access to training and support designed to help them get their businesses off the ground.
The Smartpreneur competition received more than 250 ideas under themes such as blockchain, AI, digital transformation. The annual Dubai Smartpreneur Competition gives startups and entrepreneurs in the UAE an opportunity to become part of the Dubai Government’s strategy to elevate the city into a global platform for innovation-focused businesses.
Among the top 10 finalists are Denari Cash, a mobile application helping overseas workers to send money utilizing blockchain, and Peliere a service designed to improve communication and trade between airline and logistics companies through blockchain and smart contracts.
