Worldwide Convergence of Blockchain and Crypto Experts at the Opening of the Future Blockchain Summit in Dubai

The 2023 Future Blockchain Summit commenced at Dubai Harbour today, drawing participants from the worldwide blockchain and cryptocurrency communities to the Emirate.

Reiterating Dubai’s status as a pivotal hub for blockchain and cryptocurrency expansion, the sixth edition of the premier global blockchain expo welcomed over 150 exhibitors, regulatory bodies, and governments from more than 50 nations.

The Exchange Stage, hosting a series of sessions centered on day one’s theme, “Entertainment in Web3,” brought together some of the world’s most influential thought leaders.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, delivered a keynote speech on “Attracting Global Gaming and Web3 Talent to Dubai,” highlighting Dubai’s pivotal role in supporting innovation and the global acceptance of transformative technologies.

He emphasized the UAE leadership’s unwavering commitment to blockchain development and their forward-thinking regulatory policies, creating an environment conducive to innovation. He stated that Dubai offers unparalleled support to crypto and blockchain enterprises.

In the Web3 Arena, the potential of Web3 technologies in the gaming industry was a central focus. Experts including Pavel Kasperovich, Principal at Boston Consulting Group, John Lacey, Country Manager of Level Infinite MENA at Tencent Games Global, and Sultan Al Riyami, discussed the gaming industry’s growth and Abu Dhabi’s distinctive strategy of nurturing talent and fostering connections.

Pavel emphasized the critical role of government support in the gaming sector, extending beyond financial assistance to include streamlining processes and creating a favorable ecosystem for gaming companies.

Day one also highlighted the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the Web3 world. Emil Jimenez, founder and CEO of MindBank Ai, explored the future of AI, digital twins, and their role in enhancing humanity. The event also featured a workshop on AI’s transformation of the music industry, with insights from Fernando Garibay and OG Arabian Prince.

OG Arabian Prince noted that AI, while powerful, requires human expertise to use effectively, assuaging concerns about AI replacing jobs.

The Future Blockchain Summit will continue over the next three days, bringing together global disruptors and innovators to showcase the progress in Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency technologies.
