UAE Health Box Medicine application reaches finalist list for UAE Hackathon

Students of UAE of Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah win the Sharjah Hackathon and are now finalist lists for UAE 2020 Hackathon in Dubai.

The project that reached finalist position is Healthy Touch. Healthy Touch is a smart medicine box that is connected to an application that allows patients to regulate their intake of medicine correctly using Blockchain to secure their privacy.

UAE has been at the forefront of technologies developments and encouragement of innovation. As pert of the UAE Blockchain strategy is to encourage and implement blockchain in 50% of its governmental entities when applicable.

Lara has been a journalist and writer in the technology field since her graduation from AUB majoring in political science. She has had career in corporation communications in the telecom sector and was part of the launch of first 3G network in the GCC and MENA region.
