BSS and Swisscom hold Hyperledger training in Oman

BSS and SwissCom announce Tumoh Program for blockchain developers

 As part of Oman’s blockchain strategy and implementation and following the recent launch of the national blockchain hyperledger platforms, Blockchain Solutions and Services (BSS) Oman in collaboration with SwissCom Blockchain held the first of a series of trainings on Hyperledger service and factory.

The three day training course introduced hyperledger and hyperledger Fabric platform, factory and real life use cases to both developers and system administrators across Oman. The training program was supported by E-Oman, the Oman IT and telecom Authority, Omantel and Blockchain Club of Oman.

According to Dr. KhalidTahhan Chief Executive Officer, BSS, “The training comes at an opportune moment following the deployments of hyperledger factory last month. The training focused on the usage, and maintenance of the platform. We also announced our Tumoh (Ambition) program for developers and have already chosen 4 engineers who were part of the training this month to join Tumoh.”

Oman has been working diligently to implement a comprehensive digitization strategy for the country. Banks in Oman such as Bank Dhofar are working on Blockchain with Ripple, and BSS is in collaboration with Oman’s Banking Association as well for blockchain projects.
