Seed Vault Ltd. partners with bottish to bring the benefits of decentralised marketplace to 50,000 affiliates

Bot exchange platform, bottish, has teamed up with the open-source software foundation, Seed Vault Ltd., in a move to create a decentralised platform for developers to create the bots of the future.

Launched in 2016, bottish has created as one of the world’s largest communities of bot developers, product managers and marketeers to freely exchange knowledge and ideas, through meetups and online conferences. bottish has been widely received by the industry, with a network of over 50,000 members and affiliates already actively participating to further innovation in conversational user interfaces.

The partnership aims to put the power of the bot industry back into the hands of developers and users across the world through decentralisation. Currently, the bot industry is dominated by a small number of internet giants, holding the tools and protocols needed to develop new bots and put them in the hands of users. Seed Vault’s decentralised marketplace disrupts this dominance with an alternative open-source approach that sees developers rewarded for the bot components, libraries and personalities they create.

Seed Vault’s marketplace is built on the Ethereum blockchain and underpinned by a core bot framework licensed from Botanic Technologies, which is already proven and in use by a range of large corporations around the world.

Thomas Schulz, Founder of bottish, explains: “The recent news about misusing data from Facebook has only reinforced the need for a community-driven solution like Seed Vault.” He continued: “For bottish’s members being rewarded for their development changes the game. Building bots is hard work and the Seed Vault approach will speed innovation by putting more valuable bot code in the hands of those who need it.”

Nathan Shedroff, Director of Seed Vault Ltd. said, “bottish has an impressive and established community which we are excited to be part of. This partnership is another step towards the future of bot development, where developers and organisations across all industries can come together to exchange information, ideas and code, whilst being rewarded.” He continued: “Bots represent the next interface to technology and the dominance Facebook, Amazon and Google have over bot creation is akin to making HTML available to just a handful of people back when the web was built. It’s slowing innovation.”

Seed Vault Ltd. is currently focused on technical development, further strengthening its team and formalising links with the bot and blockchain communities. Seed Vault Ltd. recently appointed Silicon Valley veteran, Robert Neilson, as CTO to help lead the development of its decentralised bot marketplace. With experience in senior engineering positions at leading internet companies such as Coinbase, Google and Apple, this is an exciting time for Seed Vault Ltd. with more news to follow.
