Intel Demos Marketplace Blockchain solution

Intel recently revealed on its website a demo version of a marketplace for the exchange of digital assets. This is not the first release for Intel as it also previously showcases demos for bond trading and tracking seafood as it moves through the supply chain. Intel is using its Sawtooth Lake distributed Ledger project which is unveiled in April of 2016. The Sawtooth Lake is part of the Linux foundation Hyperledger Blockchain project. The Sawtooth Lake Based marketplace allows users to list available assets for sale or in exchange for other assets.  According to Mr. Ricardo Echevarria from Intel wrote in February 2017, “Intel sees a lot of potential benefits in Blockchain technology and have been actively working with others to explore opportunities and identify areas where our expertise and technologies can have an impact.” Intel has contributed with Sawtooth Lake a modular platform implemented in Python with C/C++ crypto acceleration, intended for building, deploying, and running distributed ledgers. The platform is modular and extensible, supporting a range of plug-and-play components enabling organizations to rapidly prototype and experiment with various forms of blockchain deployments. Some use cases may require high transaction rates among a few participants, while others need to support many participants. These diverse environments require different methods of identifying who adds the next block to the chain.
