Biography

As a Forbes 30 Under 30, Kauffman Fellows, Co-Founding Partner at Shorooq Partners, Shane continues to advance the technology and innovation ecosystem in the Middle East by leading strategic venture capital efforts that support emerging technologies, including infrastructure that intersects with digital asset and decentralized systems. In 2025, Shorooq co-launched a $100 million global AI innovation fund with Presight, strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a hub for transformative technology investment, and maintained active deployment of capital into high-growth startups across fintech, deep tech, and platform infrastructure — contributing to the maturation of the region’s tech and Web3-aligned investment landscape. Shane has worked at UBS, TD Securities, Lazard Freres & Co., Alpine Investors and GlobalFoundries – a wholly owned subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, $250bn Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund.
