Kokila Alagh is a distinguished and highly influential technology and corporate lawyer in the Middle East, with over 20 years of experience shaping legal frameworks for global corporations, major government organizations, affluent clients, and startups. Renowned as a thought leader in high-risk tech sectors such as Virtual Assets, Web3, Gaming, and AI, Kokila’s unique blend of legal expertise, financial insight, and entrepreneurial drive has positioned her as a key influencer in the rapidly evolving landscape of Emerging Tech law in the MENA region. Kokila has played an instrumental role in shaping the Web3 ecosystem in the region. She has helped establish several not-for-profit associations and alliances designed to accelerate the growth of fintech and virtual assets, and continues to advise on strategic development and regulation in these sectors. She holds several prominent leadership roles, including Board Member and Head of the Legal & Regulatory Working Group at the Middle East Stablecoin Association, Founding Board Member of the MENA Fintech Association, and Regional Ambassador for the Association for Women in Cryptocurrency. She is also a co-author of Stablecoins and the Future of Financial Regulation and was one of only seven global experts selected to draft the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Model Law on Virtual Assets, which now has the force of law across multiple jurisdictions.
