Biography

Ben Zhou is the co-founder and CEO of Bybit, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange headquartered in Singapore. Ben was the general manager for the Greater China region for Forex brokers XM for seven years, before co-founding Bybit in early 2018. In 2025, under his leadership, Bybit strengthened its position among global digital asset exchanges with a significant push into the Middle East. The company secured the UAE’s first full Virtual Asset Platform Operator licence from the Securities and Commodities Authority, enabling it to offer fully regulated trading, custody, and fiat services across the country. This milestone marked a major step in advancing compliant crypto infrastructure in the region. Alongside this, Bybit continued its rapid global expansion, reaching tens of millions of users and actively engaging with the Middle East’s financial ecosystem through major industry platforms and events, reinforcing its role in driving regulated digital asset adoption in the UAE and beyond.
