Emirates NBD, one of the leading banking groups in the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye (MENAT) region, has announced its integration with Kinexys Liink, the world’s first bank-led peer-to-peer data-sharing network developed by Kinexys by J.P. Morgan. The bank is connecting via the ‘Confirm’ application — a solution designed to enable global account validation and reduce risks in cross-border transactions.
The move will enhance the security and efficiency of international payments for institutions participating in the Kinexys Liink network. Specifically, Emirates NBD will now be able to validate account information for UAE-based accounts on behalf of other banks using the Confirm application.
Anith Daniel, Group Head of Transaction Banking Services at Emirates NBD, commented:
“We are pleased to integrate with ‘Confirm’ by Kinexys Liink, which positions us at the forefront of payment innovation. By leveraging a blockchain network infrastructure such as the one from Kinexys by J.P. Morgan, we are able to provide real value to banks on the network, ensuring advanced payment security and streamlined operations. As the Kinexys Liink network expands, we are excited about the future opportunities this collaboration will unlock.”
By contributing validation services to the Confirm application, Emirates NBD helps network participants reduce the likelihood of failed or delayed payments due to inaccurate or outdated account details. This initiative will support more efficient straight-through processing, lower operational costs, and ensure that payments are accurately and swiftly delivered.
Naveen Mallela, Global Co-Head of Kinexys by J.P. Morgan, said:
“We are pleased to welcome Emirates NBD as part of the Kinexys Liink network. We are committed to developing solutions that enhance the speed, security and reliability of global cross-border payments and Emirates NBD’s integration with the Kinexys Liink network helps bring these benefits to the region.”
This collaboration further establishes Emirates NBD as a regional pioneer in applying blockchain innovation to modernize global financial infrastructure, reaffirming its commitment to secure and efficient international banking solutions.
