Yasmeen Al-Sharaf

Previously Yasmin held the post of ‘Superintendent – Licensing Research & Development’ in the Licensing Director at the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) where she has been working for the past 12 years.  She has worked on a wide range of applications for establishing financing institutions (both conventional and Shari’a compliant) in the Kingdom of Bahrain ranging from applications for banks, investment companies, insurance companies, capital market companies and other non-banking financial institutions.

Yasmeen is also a member of the Regulatory Sandbox Applications Committee at the CBB and has been directly involved in drafting the Crowdfunding regulations for Bahrain and assisted in the drafting of the Regulatory Sandbox directives.

Yasmeen has a Bachelors of Science in Banking and Finance from the University of Bahrain
